The original repository of dnscrypt, the FOSS project used for encrypting DNS queries, is now dead: https://github.com/jedisct1/dnscrypt-proxy/

And in a totally unexpected turn of events. DNSCrypt v2 was announced by the original developer. Seems even better, give or take the bloat of installing Go.

The v3 widget made the switch to DNSCrypt v2 as of a couple of versions ago (3.13, i think)
